Divine Journey is the current body of work I am focused on and is guided by the mysterious, the intangible, and the fleeting aspects of the human experience. It’s an exploration into the complex emotions that define us as individuals, as well as the universal yearning for connection and meaning that unites us all. Through the use of potent symbolism and rich, layered imagery, I seek to evoke a sense of the ineffable, the liminal, and the numinous. Drawing from a wide array of inspiration including religion, folklore, nature, and literature, the visual subject matter in this body of work will be mystical, spiritual, and mythological. I will draw from my own personal memories and experiences to create deeply emotive, yet open-ended narratives. Nature will be a particularly powerful source of inspiration for this body of work, as it represents the cyclical rhythms of life, growth, and decay. By incorporating natural motifs into the work, I seek to explore the interconnectedness of all things and the delicate balance between beauty and impermanence.
